Given the high costs of healthcare around the world, Travel medical insurance is not a luxury but very much a necessity while traveling outside India. Overseas travel insurance coverage is in fact required as a mandate to get a visa while traveling to certain countries. For Example while traveling to any of the Schengen Countries the consulates insist on having travel insurance with minimum Euro 30,000.

However, in countries even where insurance is not mandatory for the visa travel insurance coverage is strongly advised. When compared to Indian health care the cost in most foreign nations is very much higher. Developed countries like the US, Japan and other European countries are known for their expensive health care costs. Medical bills can easily exceed thousands of dollars even for minor injuries. Given this scenario it is prudent for travelers to buy overseas travel insurance before leaving their home countries. Along with medical coverage, travel insurance plans also provide coverage for baggage loss, baggage delay, loss of passport etc.

Bajaj Allianz travel insurance can be purchased at any time before leaving India
