• Policy coverage of Bajaj General medical insurance for students in Hong Kong

  • Medical Expenses
    • Covers Medical Treatment Cost incurred for any illness, injury suffered during overseas trip.
      
      
  • Repatriation of remains
    • Covers cost of repatriation of mortal remains(bringing back the insured body) to India.
      
      
  • Medical Evacuation
    • Medical Evacuation Covers cost of evacuation to India on advice of treating doctor with prior approval from the insurance provider.
      
      
  • Dental pain relief
    • Covers for Emergency dental pain relief as provided in the schedule of benefits.
      
      
  • Accident to sponsor
    • If the sponsor named in the schedule meets with an accident and if it results in death / permanent disability during the policy period, the company shall reimburse the remaining school fee(subject to the maximum limit) as mentioned.
  • Family visit
    • In case, if insured student is hospitalized as a result of an accident or sickness covered under the policy and if attending physician advises presence of a family member(Family members include spouse, parent, sibling and in-laws), the company will reimburse the travel cost for the visit.
      
      
  • Bail bond
    • Subject to terms and conditions if Student is arrested for any inadvertent law breaking during travel overseas, the company would pay amount as mentioned in schedule towards the bail amount for the release, excluding for any bail amount where student have been charged with breaking the law with criminal intent or for over-speeding in a vehicle.
      
      
  • Tuition fee
    • Reimbursement of the tuition fee which is paid in advance for the current semester, (maximum limit mentioned in schedule) if the insured student discontinues school due to medical conditions which requires hospitalization or due to serious injury / death of either parent.
      
      
      
  • Loss of passport
    • Coverage for reasonable and necessary expenses to get a duplicate passport or a valid travel document.
      
      
  • Loss of baggage
    • Covers total and complete loss of baggage checked by an international airline.
      
      

• Exclusions under Bajaj General international health insurance Hong Kong

  • Pre-Existing condition before the commencement of the Policy Period, or for which treatment recommended by or received from a Physician.
  • Medical expenses after the expiry of the Policy Period
  • When the insured student commits Suicide or attempted suicide, or willfully self-inflicted injury or illness, mental disorder, anxiety/stress / depression/nervousness having no underlying physical illness as a cause; venereal disease, alcoholism, drunkenness or the abuse of drugs.
  • Insured involved in Manual work or hazardous occupation, self exposure to needless peril (except in an attempt to save human life), or if engaging in any criminal or illegal act.
  • When the insured student is Pregnant, resulting childbirth, miscarriage, abortion, or complication arising out of any of the foregoing.
  • Experimental, unproven or non-standard treatment.
  • Treatment other than modern medicine is not covered
  • The cost for spectacles or for contact lenses and hearing aids, crutches, and all other external appliances and/or devices whether for diagnosis or treatment are not covered.
  • Baggage Delay when the intended destination is India
  • Loss or damage to the Insured's passport as a result of the confiscation or detention by customs, police or any other authority.
  • Loss of passport is not reported to the appropriate police authority within 24 hours, and there is no official report for it.
  • Loss caused by the Insured's failure to take reasonable steps to guard against the loss of the passport.
