The Medical Cover component of your Religare travel insurance : Covers your treatment and hospitalization if needed for an illness that happens during your travel. In the event that you need further treatment even after your return to India, the medical expenses for this ailment will be covered up to a period of 30 days or the policy end date whichever is earlier. There is an additional benefit in that the policy medical sum insured is doubled in the event of an accident (as opposed to sickness).
The Personal Accident clause covers any adverse circumstance arising due to an accident, be it death or permanent total disability, while the insured is overseas.
