  • ambulance   Accidental Death: Pays the family of the insured compensation in the case of loss of life in an accident.

  • hospital   Permanent Disablement: Pays compensation if the insured is permanently disabled in an accident.

  • ambulance   Emergency Medical Expenses: Reimburses the insured for medical expenses incurred for an accident or an unexpected sickness.
    • Medical Evacuation: Pay the actual costs or the total sum insured, stated in the schedule, whichever is lesser, for repatriating insured back to the country of residence.
    • Body Repatriation: Pay the actual costs or the total sum insured stated in the schedule, whichever is lesser, for repatriating insured corpse to the country of residence.

  • teeth   Emergency Dental Treatment: Reimburses the insured for emergency dental expenses incurred for an injury or acute pain.

  • passport   Loss of Passport: In the event that the passport belonging to the insured is lost, the insured is reimbursed the actual expenses incurred in obtaining a duplicate or fresh passport.

  • person-with-lugg   Loss of Checked Baggage: If baggage, personal documents or personal effects are checked onto a common carrier, the insured is reimbursed the cost of replacement for any damaged or lost articles.

  • delay-bag   Delay of Checked Baggage: Provides an amount for emergency purchases on account of delay in baggage.

  • person   Personal Liability: Pays a benefit for damages that an insured person is legally liable for as the result of a lawsuit for property damage being brought against the insured person. Also pays a benefit for medical expenses that an insured person is legally liable for as the result of a law suit for an accident caused by the insured person resulting in bodily injury to another person.

  • note-pad   Bail Bond: Pays the bail amount for the insured on arrest or detention by police for a bail-able offence in the territory of travel.

  • babyandmom   Treatment for Expectant Mothers: Pays for in-patient medical expenses related to pregnancy after a waiting period of 10 months.

  • patient   Screening and Examinations: Pays for cancer screening and mammographic examinations on recommendation from physician.

  • baby   Childcare Benefit: Pays for hospital cash benefits of childcare.

  • Any Medical Expenses incurred when the specific purpose of a journey is to receive medical treatment or advice.

  • Any Medical Expenses incurred, the need of which arises out of a Pre-existing Conditions.

  • Any Medical Expenses incurred within the territorial limits that are not stated in the schedule.

  • Exclusions Applicable to Bodily Injury or Sickness:
    • Occasioned by Civil War or Foreign War.
    • Caused or provoked intentionally by the Insured.
    • Due to willful or deliberate exposure to danger, (except in an attempt to save human life), intentional self-inflicted injury, suicide or attempt threat, or arising out of non-adherence to medical advice.
    • Sustained or suffered whilst the Insured is or as a result of the Insured being under the influence of alcohol or drugs or narcotics unless professionally administered by a Physician or unless professionally prescribed by and taken in accordance with the directions of a Physician.Due to a gradually operating cause.
    • Sustained whilst or as a result of participating in any sport as a professional player.
    • Sustained whilst or as a result of participating in any competition involving the utilization of a motorized land, water or air vehicle.
    • Whilst the Insured is traveling by air other than as a fare paying passenger on an aircraft registered to an Airline Company for the transport of paying passengers on regular and published Scheduled routes.
    • Whilst or as a result of participating or committing or attempting to commit a breach of law with criminal intent.
    • Caused by or arising from the conditions commonly known as Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) or Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and/or any related illness or condition including derivatives or variations thereof howsoever acquired or caused.
    • Caused by or arising from or due to venereal or venereal related disease.
    • Sustained whilst or as a result of engaging in, practicing for or taking part in training peculiar to any kind of violent labour disturbance, riot or civil commotion or public disorder.
    • Sustained whilst on service or on duty with or undergoing training with any military or police force, or militia or paramilitary organization, notwithstanding that the Bodily Injury occurred whilst the Insured was on leave or not in uniform.

  • For treatments for nervous or mental problems, whatever their classification, psychiatric or psychotic conditions, depression of any kind, or mental insanity.

  • Any pathological fracture.

  • For cures of any kind and all stay in long term care institutions (retirement homes, convalescence centres, centres of detoxification, etc.).

  • For investigations, operations or treatment of a purely cosmetic nature; or for obesity; or undertaken to facilitate pregnancy or to cure impotence or to improve potency.

  • For Bodily Injury sustained whilst or as a result of active participation in any hazardous sport such as parachuting, hang-gliding, parasailing, off-piste skiing or bungee jumping, skiing, jet skiing, paragliding, parachuting and racing of any type.

  • For Bodily Injury sustained as the result of Terrorism.

  • Nuclear Energy risks.

  • Injury caused by surgery.

    • Consultation Note OR Emergency Room's doctor medical report OR Relevant Treatment Papers OR Discharge Summary. (Mandatory Document)
    • Copy of the passport showing the date of entry journey from India.
    • All relevant Original Invoices for the expenses incurred.
    • Receipt OR Any other document suggestive of payment made to the hospital.
    • Postmortem Report or Coroner’s Report
    • Death Certificate.
    • Final police inspection report.
    • Copy of cancelled cheque
    Emergency Medical Expenses

    • Copy of the passport showing the date of entry and exit related to journey (to & fro) from India.
    • All relevant Original Invoices for the expenses incurred.
    • Payment receipt for all invoices OR any other document suggestive of payment made to the hospital.
    • Police FIR report, if applicable

    Emergency Dental Treatment
    • Attached Claim form (Page 1,2,3 with Section B, Section C -mandatory) duly completed and signed by the claimant

    Loss Of Baggage & Personal Documents
    • Attached Claim Form (Page 1,2,3 with Section F) duly completed and signed by the Insured.
    • Original FIR Report to be obtained from the relevant police authority in the event of loss or theft.
    • Copy of the old passport of the employee, if available. (In case of loss of passport)
    • For claims involving jewelry, submit original or certified copies of valuation certificates issued prior to the commencement of the Period of Insurance.
    • Original embassy receipts OR Passport office Receipts for the replacement of Passport. (In case of loss of passport)
    • Emergency travel certificate. (In case of loss of passport)
    • Copy of the new passport. (In case of loss of passport)
    • Copy of cancelled cheque
      Please Note: Personal Documents means an Insured Person’s identity card (if applicable), ration card, voter identity card, passport, driving licence and car licence.
    Checked Baggage Loss (Including Baggage Damage)
    • Attached Claim Form (Page 1,2,3 with Section D) duly completed and signed by the Insured.
    • Original Property Irregularity Report (PIR) from airlines.
    • Claim form submitted to airlines, mentioning the details items lost/damaged, with their respective cost. (Mandatory)
    • Baggage Loss/Damage Report OR letter from airlines OR any other document from airlines confirming the loss of items.
    • Copies of Boarding Pass, Ticket and Baggage tags.
    • Copy of Passport showing the date of entry and exit related to journey (to & fro) from India.
    • Details of Compensation received from Airlines If Any.
    • Original Bills/Receipts for the items lost.
    • Copy of cancelled cheque
    Baggage Delay
    • Claim Form (Page 1,2,3 with Section F – duly completed and signed by the Insured.
    • Original Property Irregularity Report (PIR) mentioning the date and time of loss.
    • Letter from airlines mentioning the duration for which baggage delay has taken Place or any other document suggestive of proof of period for which baggage delay has taken place. (Mandatory)
    • Copies of Boarding Pass, Ticket and Baggage tags.
    • Copy of Passport showing the date of entry and exit related to journey (to & fro) from India.
    • Details of compensation received from airlines If any.
    • Original Bills/Receipts/Invoices for the necessary emergency purchases of toiletries, medication and clothing that he/she needed to buy during the period of baggage delay.(Mandatory)
    • Copy of cancelled cheque
      Please Note: Claim payment can be made only against the receipts for expenses directly resulting from baggage delay.
    Trip Cancellation
    • Attached Claim form (Page 1,2,3 with Section H is mandatory) duly completed and signed by the claimant
    • Letter from insured mentioning the reason of trip cancellation with related proof
    • Proof of travel and accomodation expenses made in advance for the trip
    • Details of refundable amount from the airlines for tavel tickets
    • Copy of cancelled cheque
    Trip Interruption
    • Attached Claim form (Page 1,2,3 with Section H is mandatory) duly completed and signed by the claimant
    • Letter from insured mentioning the reason of trip cancellation with related proof
    • Proof of travel and accomodation expenses made in advance for the trip
    • Details of refundable amount from the airlines, hotel booked in advance
    • Copy of cancelled cheque
    Loss of Cash
    • Attached Claim form (Page 1,2,3 ) duly completed and signed by the claimant
    • Original/Photo Copy of FIR Report to be obtained from the relevant police authority in the event of loss or theft. This is a written proof confirming that the loss has occurred due to theft.
    • Documentation of Cash withdrawal/Travelers cheques, occurring within seventy-two (72) hours of the commencement of an Insured Journey that supports the amount of the claim.
    • Details of refundable amount from the airlines for tavel tickets
    • Copy of the passport showing the date of entry and exit related to journey (to & fro) from India.
    • Copy of cancelled cheque
    Flight Delay
    • Attached Claim form (Page 1,2,3 with Section H is mandatory) duly completed and signed by the claimant
    • Invoices related to List of essential purchases made, such as meals, refreshments or other related expenses directly resulting from the flight delay. (mandatory)
    • Confirmation letter from the airlines clearly stating the duration and the reason for flight delay (Mandatory)
    • Copies of Boarding Pass, Ticket.
    • Copy of cancelled cheque
      Please Note: Claim payment can be made only against the receipts for expenses directly resulting from flight delay.

The company shall not be liable to pay any benefit to the Insured caused due to:

  • Cancellation
    • Policy can be cancelled for non attachment of risk, subject to retention of minimum premium of Rs. 250 (Including Service Tax)
    • If journey has not been undertaken
    • Production of Passport as a proof that the journey has not been undertaken
    • Cancellation will be entertained within 14 days after the first date of insurance as indicated in the policy schedule

  • Refund
    • No refund is allowed for curtailment of risk
    • No refund after commencement of journey
