For higher education.
2. Do you plan to return to India to settle down?
Yes, but not now, may be when retired.
3. What do you like most about being abroad?
Independence, infrastructure, convenience and law abiding people.
4. What do like least about being abroad?
Taxes mainly, and ocassional encounters with racist persons.
5. Would you be concerned about raising your family outside India?
No.
6. What are your thoughts about marrying outside your immediate community, someone who speaks a different language or practices a different religion?
Love sees no boundaries, respect for each other's culture is a must. Is possible.
7. What would be the first thing you would do if you became the Prime Minister of India?
Focus on school education for all Indians, imrpove basic health services and improve sanitation.
8. What do you think are India's greatest strengths?(max 3)
Its people (1 billion approx) and our understanding and respect for other cultures is second to none.
9. What do you think are the biggest problems facing India? (max 3)
Corrupt politicians, bribery and rising materialism
10. Do you think that a presidential form of government would better serve the needs of India's democracy?
No, wouldn't make much difference.
11. For whom do you have the highest regard amongst living Indians?
After my parents, all Indian writers and all Indians involved in social and community work.
12. Do you think that the national obsession with Cricket has helped or has it hurt India as a sporting nation?
Absolutely, we are cricket fanatics.
13. What do you think are India's greatest achievements since Independence? (max 3)?
We are improving in every sector slowly, cannot think of any one striking achievement.

Gardening
15. What is your happiest memory?
Weekend fun visits to a beautiful park in Parisian suburbs which was full of beauty.
16. What's your most memorable journey?
Calcutta to Bombay by train; Bombay to Mahabaleshwar by road; Bombay to Orlando, Florida.
17. What is your ultimate food dish?
Chicken makhani with plain rice or yummy naans.
