Vaccination in India

Before 4 weeks of traveling to any part of the world all the travelers should visit their family physician or a travel health clinic.

The compulsory treatments for the people who are travelling all areas are Prophylaxis with Lariam, Malarone, or doxycycline, except for the people who are travelling the area at the greater altitude like Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Sikkim.

Vaccinations:

Hepatitis A Compulsory for all tourist travelers.
Hepatitis B This vaccination is compulsory for the travelers who have contact with local people/residents.
Polio This vaccination is taken once as an adult who have completed the childhood booster once.
Yellow fever This is not a compulsory treatment if at all your suffering from the yellow-fever disease.
Japanese encephalitis This vaccination is mandatory for the people who are travelling to the rural areas and indulge in outdoor activites.
Rabies People who have a contact with animals and still not come across the treatment, for them this is a compulsory treatment.
Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) Who are born after 1956 two doses of treatment is compulsory.
Typhoid Compulsory for all tourist travelers.
Tetanus-diphtheria Once in 10 years re-treatment is compulsory.
