For travelers who are 56 years and above TATA AIG travel guard has two set of plans. One plan has sub-limits (which implies that there are limits for different medical benefits) and other plan without sub-limits (The medical maximum coverage is the limit, there are no limits for specific treatments within the medical maximum coverage). If the travelers buys a plan with sub-limits, then he/she gets restricted medical coverage for specific treatments according to the policy terms and conditions. If a customer buys a plan without sub-limits, there is no restriction on the medical expenses and is covered up to policy maximum. Plan with sublimits are cheaper than plan without sublimits.
Example: If a traveler purchases $50,000 coverage plan with sublimits. Then as per policy terms and conditions for one illness /accident medical expenses he will get the restricted medical cover as per the below grid.
|Hospital Room and Board and Hospital miscellaneous
|| Max $1,500 per day upto 30 days whichever is less.
|Intensive Care Unit
|| Max $3,000 per day upto 7 days whichever is less.
|| Max $10,000
|| Upto 25% of Surgical Treatment
