FAQ related to mode of transport for Indians while in US

Q Which will be the cheapest mode of transport from the airport to my place of stay? Do I have to tip the driver of the bus/cab and if so, what is the minimum?
A You can take either a shuttle or a cab. Some airports have rail connections leading to the city. The fare for the shuttle bus is on a per person basis. So if you are traveling with your family it could be more economical to take a taxi-cab. Do remember to give the exact change while taking a shuttle, as there is no concept of returning change. The cab driver will normally expect a tip of 15% of the fare.
