NRIOL.COM - FAQs for new Indian professionals to the US

Q What are the skills I need to equip myself with before I leave for the US to be able to manage on my own?
A Cooking, driving, sewing (for small tears and stitching buttons) and taking care of yourself. Before leaving India, do visit your barber/beauty parlour, as these services are expensive in the USA. Take along a sewing kit with lots of needles, threads, buttons, hooks, Indian Music and any other items of personal preference. Also keep photographs of family and friends and get a list of contact information in the US/Canada, as you will find yourself lonely here.
