Will it be possible for me to get money from India wired to me in the US, if I decide to play it safe and carry less or say I need more? How can I go about doing this? |

Yes it can be done. Just contact the nearest bank’s Forex office. You may have a limit and tedious documentation. But is easier to find a friend who can give you the money, and whose family in India your family can replay. This is what is commonly done for small sums.
