TATA AIG Claims Settlement Experience and Reviews

I traveled to the US with my entire family (including my senior citizen parents and my infant son) for a period of 1 month. We purchased a Tata AIG travel health insurance policy through nriol.com for my family and were very pleased with our experience. The folks at nriol.com explained the pros/consof the various policies and suggested the right policy for each of us (senior citizen vs. child).

While we were in the US, my son developed a bad cold and fever. We had to pay the doctor’s fees in the US, but after we got back to India, the reimbursement process was quite smooth. I called the Tata AIG helpline and they gave me a claim number that I used to fill out a claim application (downloadable from their website).

The only wrinkle was that the Tata AIG folks would not give me the claim number directly, but registered my application and I had to wait for about a week for one of their representatives to call me back. But, after I submitted the claim application, the reimbursement was sent to me within 2-3 weeks without any additional questions or paperwork.

I would highly recommend nriol.com and Tata AIG for travel insurance. The purchase process was simple, the people were helpful and the rates were competitive. But, most importantly, my claim was settled promptly without much bureaucracy.
