Fire & Special Perils
- This Benefit offers cover as per provisions of the Standard Fire policy as per All India Fire Tariff.
- Company shall pay the value of the property at the time of the happening of its destruction or the amount of such damage or at its option reinstate or replace such property or any part thereof.
Specific perils covered under this Benefit:
- Fire
- Lightning
- Explosion/Implosion
- Aircraft Damage
- Riot,Strike and Malicious damage
- Impact damage by any Rail/Road, vehicle or animal by direct contact(excluding damage by own vehicle)
- Subsidence and landslide including rockslide
- Bursting and/or overflowing of Water Tanks, Apparatus and Pipes
- Missile Testing operations
- Leakage from Automatic Sprinkler Installations
- Bush Fire
- Flood, Storm, Inundation etc.
- Earthquake
Public liability
Covers Legal Liability of the Insured (as a householder) for:
- Death / Injury to third parties
- Property damage of third parties
- Claims payable to domestic staff(excluding gatekeepers, paid drivers and gardeners) on account of W.C./ Fatal Accidents Act or Common Law.
What is not covered
Liabilities arising out of
- Occupation or business, trade,employment
- Voluntarily assumed liability
- Animals, vehicles
- Structural alterations, repairs or decorations to your home
Burglary
Covers loss / damage on account of Burglary/Theft
- At and /or from Insured premises
- Contents placed in safe custody during temporary absence from Insured premises -10% of sum insured or Rs.10000 whichever is less.
- Contents temporarily removed to residence different from Insured one -10% of sum insured or Rs.10000/- whichever is less.
Purchase Protection
- Extends automatic cover for Fire & Special perils and Burglary / Theft for items purchased after commencement of the policy for a period of thirty days from the day of purchase
Covers:
- Loss/damage to Pedal cycle by Fire, Burglary or accidental external means
- Legal liability for death/injury/property damage of third parties(max. Rs.10000/-)
Pedal Cycle
Covers:
- Loss/damage to Pedal cycle by Fire, Burglary or accidental external means
- Legal liability for death/injury/property damage of third parties(max. Rs.10000/-)
Plate Glass
What is not covered
- Loss/Damage during removal, alterations or repairs at the insured premises
- Disfiguration,scratching etc.
- Consequential loss including injury
- Loss/damage to frame or framework
- Embossed,Silvered, Lettered,Ornamental glasses
Baggage
Covers theft, accidental loss damage or destruction of personal baggage during travel outside municipal limit of town or city but within India.
Audio & Audio Visual Appliances
Covers loss or damage (for appliances upto 5 years) due to:
- Fire ,Lightning,explosion of domestic gas cylinders
- Bursting , overflowing of water from water tanks or pipes
- Aircraft damage
- Riot, strike,malicious damage
- Burglary,theft
- Accidental external means
- Mechanical or electrical breakdown
Personal Accident
This cover pays a benefit amount if the insured person sustains an accidental bodily injury anywhere in the world leading to:
- Death
- Permanent Total Disablement
- Permanent Partial Disablement(Loss or loss of use of limbs or bodily parts)
- Special condition: “Family” means Proposer, Spouse & Children for packaged products.
