Bio-data of Hema Joshi

She studied Fine Art at Sir. J.J. School of Art, Mumbai after her graduation (BA) at Elphinstone College. She was tutored in art by Kalamaharishi S.L. Haldankar and G.S. Haldankar. She has held 17 solo shows including at venues like New Jersey in 1982, and London in 1997. She has participated in several group shows most notably the 6th Triennale, New Delhi in 1986, the WWF Art Show in Mumbai, the CRY Show at various cities, the Contemporary Women Artists organized by the National Gallery of Modern Art, the Euro-Asian Biennale at Ankara, Turkey in 1988. She has held joint shows at Tours, France in 1987, at Malbronn and Gagganeau, Germany in 1987 and at Castlegate, U.K. in 1996, after completing a Residency in England in 1996.

She lives and works in Mumbai.
