Bio-data of Anjana Mehra

Born in Delhi in 1949. She secured her Diploma in Painting at Sir. J.J. School of Art, Mumbai in 1965 and her Post Graduation in Print-making at the Faculty of Fine Art, M.S. University, Baroda.

She has held 9 solo shows. The last of which was "Urban Seasons", a series of 6 paintings commissioned by the Jindal Art Foundation and exhibited at the NCPA, Mumbai.

She has participated in many group shows including the National Exhibition, New Delhi in 1974, Etchings at the Jerhard Dedeke Gallery, Germany and at the N.N. Gallery, Seattle, U.S.A. in 1976, the 6th Triennale, New Delhi in 1986, the 2nd Asian European Art Biennial, Ankara in 1988, the Biennale at Bharat Bhavan Bhopal in 1990, "50 years of Art in Bombay" at National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai in 1997. Her paintings were auctioned by Sotheby's in 1998 and by Christie's in 1999.

Anjana Mehra lives and works in Mumbai.
