NRI industrialist to set up world class school in Punjab

The UK based NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul recently announced the setting up of a world class school in Jalandhar, which is the place of his birth. According to PTI reports, Lors Swaraj Paul’s Caparo Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Punjab Technical University (PTU) to establish a school for manufacturing and material technology on the outskirts of Jalandhar. The school is expected to start from the academic year 2006.
The school, which will impart advanced research and education facilities, will be located at Jalandhar-Kapurthala road, adjoining Science City. The MoU commits the two sides to making the school a ‘world-class’ institution. Paul said that he was delighted to embark on establishing the school in his place of birth because his ancestral family meant a lot to him.
