A 51 year old professor, G V Loganathan and a girl student Minal Panchal were two Indian casualties of the worst campus rampage in the US in which a South Korean student gunned down 32 people before he turned the weapon on himself.
G V Loganathan hailing from near Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu and an alumnus of IIT Kanpur, was shot dead while he was taking classes in the Virginia Tech University's Civil and Environmental Engineering Department yesterday morning. The professor, who is survived by his wife and two daughters, had been teaching at the varsity for 15 years.
Minal Panchal, a student or architecture in Virginia Tech hailing from Mumbai earlier reported missing was later reported dead.
