Trina Chakravarty of USA was declared winner of the Miss India worldwide 2005 competition. The 15th Miss India Worldwide competition was held by the New York based India Festival Committee in Mumbai. Trina was selected out of the 21 NRI/PIO contestants from different parts of the world. Nikki Rana of United Kingdom was adjudged the first runner-up while Charlene Asgarali of Netherlands stood as the second runner-up in the event.
The judges included former Miss India Universe Amrita Thapar, ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas, producer-director Deepak Tijori, actress Suman Ranganathan and television anchor Shweta Kawatra among others.
