Virginias new governor Tim Kaine has now appointed a second Indian techie, Vivek Kundra, as the states assistant secretary for trade and commerce. Kundra has been president of IT consultancy firm Creostar. He holds a Masters degree in management information systems from the University of Maryland.
Kaine, who took over as governor a fortnight ago, has already appointed Aneesh Chopra as the state's secretary of technology. He has been entrusted with the task of expanding the use of information technology to serve citizens and promote Virginia to technology companies.
