Indian-American Republican candidate Piyush ‘Bobby’ Jindal on Sunday moved within one step from residing in the Louisiana Governor’s mansion. Late Sunday night it became clear that Bobby Jindal had taken the top spot amongst 17 candidates in the Louisiana gubernatorial race. With this result, Jindal will face Democrat Lieutenant Governor Kathleen B Blanco in a run-off election on November 15.

No matter what the outcome next month is, this election will make history.
