Sun Network, a premier cable TV operator in Southern
India has launched a Tamil channel in the US via the
satellite TV company Dish Network. The channel will
provide 24-hour coverage of news, blockbuster movies,
children´s programmes, game shows, music and
educational programmes.
The network is also making efforts to launch Gemini TV
and Surya TV, the network´s Telugu and Malayalam
channels soon. The service in the U.S. will be a
12-hour delayed version of the India service and is
available to viewers for the monthly price of $14.99.
