Indians in UK and USA pray for Swaminarayan temple victims

Indians in UK and in US held impromptu prayer vigils on hearing about the Swaminarayan temple massacre in Gandhinagar. More than 30 people are believed to have been killed when Islamic militants opened fire on worshippers inside the 23-acre Swaminarayan Temple complex in the Gujarat capital, Gandhinagar on the evening of Tuesday, September 24th.

According to the BBC, a continuous prayer vigil was being held at the Swaminarayan Hindu temple at Neasden, just north of London.

In the United States, the most prominent meeting was at the Swaminarayan Sanstha Temple in Edison, New Jersey. The Swaminarayan Sanstha has a large following with many temples across the US.
