Protest against General Musharraf in Chicago

The National Federation of Indian American Associations (NFIA) USA and Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) Chicago organized a vigil to protest the Chicago visit of General Musharraf on Tuesday, 10th Sept at Chicago Hilton and Tower in Downtown Chicago.

General Musharraf was in Chicago pitching for investment in Pakistan and pressing a case for Kashmiri separatism. In spite of being a working day, over 200 community members turned out for the protest, which was concluded peacefully without any untoward incident. The protest was successful in educating the luncheon attendees, American media and American people at large about double game being played by General Musharraf.

Report by Bhailal Patel
President of NFIA-USA
