Indians were among the victims who were crushed to death on Sunday and many others were injured when the roof of a power plant in the Jebel Ali industrial area, 45 km from Dubai collapsed. The death toll so far is seven, and it has injured 19. Six persons are still missing from the power plant where the majority of workers are Indian.
This is the second major accident at a public utility site in Dubai this year. More than 20 persons, including five Indians, were killed in a flooding accident at the Dubai dry dock, one of the world's major ship repair facilities, in March this year.
