Manoj Night Shyamalan on Newsweek cover
|
|
Pondicherry born, Philadelphia based movie director Manoj Night Shyamalan is featured on the cover of the current
issue of Newsweek magazine. The 31 year old director first captured the imagination of movie goers worldwide with
his super hit ‘The Sixth Sense”. He is currently in news again thanks to his latest movie “Signs” starring
Mel Gibson which will hit the screens this weekend.
There has been tremendous interest regarding his latest movie, with the trailer itself being critically reviewed.
Manoj’s first super hit “The Sixth Sense” starring Bruce Willis grossed over 700 million US Dollars worldwide.
His next film “Unbreakable” again with Bruce Willis could not match the box office success of his earlier movie.
However this did not take the sheen away from his directorial fame.
Manoj was paid $ 5 Million by Disney to write “Signs” and another $ 7.5 Million to direct the movie.
NRIOL wishes Manoj Shyamalan good luck in his latest endeavor !
