Indo-Britons most likely to vote
|
|
The Indian community in Britain recorded the highest voter turnout at last year's general election, more than any
other ethnic group including white British voters. This was according to the Guardian newspaper which was referring
to a new study for the British electoral commission.
There has been a dramatic change over the last 40 years. In the 1960s fewer than 13% of Britain's Indian community took
part in elections but now they are the most likely section of the population to vote.
