India Times reports that a McKinsey study predicts good opportunities in global non-US markets for the Indian IT industry.
A McKinsey study unveiled at the recently concluded CEOs' Summit at the Bangalore IT.Com 2001 has debunked the theory that the technology sector and the stock market
were solely responsible for the high growth rate demonstrated by the US economy in 1999 and 2000.
The study mentioned that the US economy would rebound in the near term as the factors fuelling its growth during the last two decades are still around.
The growth rates will be higher than the numbers shown during the 1972-95 period, however they will be more moderate than the high growth rates of 1995-2000.
The study urged Indian software companies to concentrate on greater customer care, marketing, add value to offerings, seek non-US markets to fuel continuous business
growth under present and future market conditions.
