Newspaper Today reports that India's computer software and services exports jumped by 29.7 per cent in the first half of
2001-02 to $3,511 million against $2,707 million in the corresponding period the previous year.
The electronics hardware exports segment clocked $532 million during the period ended September 2001, compared with $393 million
in the corresponding period 2000-01.
Growth in telecom services and project export was about 1.7 per cent to $400 million during April to September
this year, marginally up from $393 million during April to September 2000-01.
During the period ended September 2001, exports in audio, video software and film segment rose to $178 million from $112 million
in the corresponding period previous year.
