NDTV reports that S P Jain, has been given the highest civilian honour by
the French Government in recognition of his contribution to the French
National Carrier, Air France, for three decades.
S.P. Jain received the "Chevalier L'Ordre National du Merite" award from the
Ambassador of France here, Daniel Bernard.
Jain was born in Ludhiana in Punjab and now lives in UK. He has contributed
significantly to the travel industry in France as well as the growth of Air
France. Presently, Jain is the Chairman of 'Mysteries of India' travel
organization engaged in package tours to India.
Jain is also engaged in several philanthropic activities including building
an institute for blind children in Gujarat.
