According to the latest UN report on human development India loses $2
billion annually as a result losing skilled professionals to the developed
world. About 40 percent of the jobs provided under the H1B category were
used by Indians during the 90's. Other than the United States, Indian
professionals are now widely sought in many European countries, Japan and
Australia.
The UN report estimates that the average cost of providing education to each
professional at USD 15,000 to 20,000.
