July 1, 2001 UAE: dialysis fee removed for expat patients
The Dh250 fee that expat kidney patients had to pay in UAE government hospitals has been removed, according to the Khaleej Times. The UAE’s health ministry issued a decree exempting expatriates from paying the charge. Earlier, expat kidney patients had to pay a Dh250 fee every time they underwent dialysis.
