A 25-year-old NRI in Abu Dhabi has won the top prize of Dh two million
(about US $544,000), the Khaleej Times reports.
Khaled Jameel Vanjara, an IT professional, won the money in a savings scheme
run by Mashreqbank. Mr Vanjara was quoted as saying, "I was silent for a
while, letting the news sink in, before calling my dad back to check whether
it was really true."
The report says that he plans to spend the money on education for his family
and their business. Further, he will donate money to a school and also build
some houses for the homeless.
