Delhi born, US based Navin Chaddha is one among 25 stars who will shape the
world in the coming decades according to the latest issue of Fortune
magazine.
Chaddha, 30 who grew up in Delhi and came to the US in 1992 has already much
to his credit. He was completing his MS in electrical engineering from
Stanford University when the Internet revolution came along. Suddenly he
realised that his expertise in moving video over networks had tremendous
practical use. In 1995, he started VXtreme a company which created a host of
streaming technologies, and 19 months later he sold the firm to Microsoft
for $75 million.
Since then he has started 2 more companies while still working for
Microsoft. The first is streaming-media firm iBeam which went public in
2000. The other is Rivio, the company which crafts Web-based payroll,
accounting, HR, and other software for small businesses.
NRIOL wishes Navin all success in his ventures!
