Air-India will buy four Airbus planes by the end of this month to add seats
on the Gulf and South-East Asia sectors, according to the Times of India.
This will mean more flights from India to Hong Kong, Singapore, Jeddah and
Dubai.
Meanwhile, the airline has said that the process of due-diligence in
selecting from the two bidders - Tata-Singapore Airlines and the Hindujas -
will be completed by this week. The Indian government has decided to sell of
60 per cent of its stake in the airline.
