Croatia’s foreign minister, Mr Mr. Tonino Picula, will visit India during May 2-5th, according to the Ministry of External Affairs.
Mr Picula will be accompanied by the assistant foreign minister Mr. Nebojsa Koharovic and other officials.
The delegation will meet India’s foreign minister Mr Jaswant Singh, and talks will be held on a variety of subjects including business, drugs, terrorism and crime. Mr Picula will also meet Prime Minister Vajpayee and Vice President Krishan Kant during his trip. In addition to New Delhi, Mr Picula will visit Agra, Brindavan, Mathura and Mumbai. For a change, no mention was made of a trip to any of India's IT hotspots.
The Ministry of External Affairs adds that relations between Croatia and India have been “warm and friendly”, and that a Croat-Indian Society formed in 1994 has been “quite active”.
