February 12, 2001 NRIs want a "Minister for NRIs"
An overwhelming majority of NRIs want the Indian government to create a "Minister for NRIs", according to the latest NRIOL opinion poll. Over 80% of respondents answered "Yes" to the question which asked, "Should the Indian government create a "Minister for NRIs"?" Only about 16% of respondents were against the idea.
