US-based trading market Nasdaq established its first Indian office in Bangalore, media reports say.
Alfred Berkeley III, Nasdaq's vice-chairman, was quoted as saying, "I hope many Indian companies will come forward for listing because of our transparent way of functioning. We have come here with great expectations from Indians".
Mr Berkeley said nearly a dozen Indian companies had applied and more were to follow
