NRIs wanting to visit Gujarat urgently will not have to pay the "Tatkal" fee for emergency passport related services, according to the Ministry of External Affairs.
The exemption is valid for two months, and is aimed at NRIs who want to meet relations affected by the recent earthquake.
Under the "Tatkal Scheme", a passport required urgently can be obtained on the same day, out-of-turn, by the payment of an additional fee.
