The regional carrier Gulf Air is providing free air travel from the Gulf
region to India for relatives of the Gujarat earthquake.
According to a report by Reuters an airlines statement said "In the framework of urgent
humanitarian assistance...(Gulf Air) has granted free return tickets from
the Gulf to India for the relatives of the victims,". It said relatives
living in any of the four owner countries, where large numbers of Indians
live and work, could benefit from the measure.
Gulf Air while based in Bahrain is jointly owned by the governments of
Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Abu Dhabi emirate in the United Arab Emirates.
