Twenty Indian companies featured in Asia's top 1000. This was according to AsiaWeek's survey on Asian enterprises. The countries with more companies than India in the top 1000 were Japan (696), Australia (70), South Korea (59), Taiwan (37), Singapore (34) and China (25).
The Indian companies accounted for 5.10% of total profit of all 1000 companies. These companies between them employed 388,000 employees which accounted for 2.7% share of all employees for the 1000 companies.
