Eleven of the twelve passengers from Hyderabad are feared dead in the Singapore Airlines jet crash in Tapei, according to the Hindustan Times. The surviving Hyderabadi has been named as Koppaka Somasekhara Varaprasad.
The following is the list of Indians on board: Sangeeta Kommera, S V Koppaka, Surya Narayana Marellapudi, Mohammad Moinuddin Khan, Noorjehan Begum, P Poddar, P Raju, K Saahil, Akasa Volam, Janardhan Volam and Neelima Vuppala
The three NRIs on board (American passport holders) were: Sneha Kommera, Srinivas Kommera and Rabia Aliniazee.
Singapore Airlines have said they will fly up to four relatives of each passenger to Tapei. An airline official was quoted as saying, "We are making arrangements to fly four relatives of each passenger to Taipei, provided they have their passports. So far, eight relatives have been ticketed. They will be flown on the regular Hyderabad-Singapore flight that goes to Singapore via Chennai. From Singapore, they will reach Taipei."
The Andhra Pradesh state government has also set up a special cell at Begumpet airport to help families of the passengers.
