India's software exports to the US will be over $3.5 billion in 2000-01,
media reports say.
And it's the increase in the H1B visa limit that will spark this export
boom, according to the National Association of Software and Service
Companies (NASSCOM).
Dewang Mehta, NASSCOM's president, was quoted as saying, ""If the proposal
to hike H1B visa limit to nearly 600,000 people over the next three years is
approved, software exports to the US will touch $3.7 billion of the total
$6.3 billion in software export during 2000-2001."
