NRIs form E-forum to aid Indian enterprises

To improve Indo-US partnership, now its the turn of a group of Silicon Valley-based NRIs. The group has decided to form the India-US E-Tech Forum to support Indian Small and Medium Enterprises (SME).

The forum would give SMEs access to technologies, alliances, venture funds and new markets and is supported by the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) in Hyderabad

The forum, to be launched shortly, would support STPI in helping SMEs exploit the market and withstand global competition. STPI’s business support centre at San Jose, which provides multifarious services and support to SMEs, started in March.

The centre, which has received 160 trade enquiries, has helped more than 15 companies in setting up US operations.
