India ranks 22 among 46 countries for the total volume of exports according
to the Asiaweek magazine. While this position is far from encouraging,
there has been a steady increase in exports during the past decade.
There are no surprises in the top ten with the affluent Group of Seven
countries capturing top positions. The G7 are followed by China which is
then followed by most of the South East Asian countries.
USA leads the pack with 711 billion US Dollars in exports. India has
exports worth 37.5 billion Dollars for its 22nd position.
