A British policeman and a British national were held in Mumbai for drug smuggling. They were arrested along with five others with five kgs of heroin, valued at $1m, media reports say.
The men – Mubarak Abdul Rehman Shabir and Bhegani Talab Suleman – were boarding a flight to Manchester via Dubai when they were caught at Mumbai airport. Shabir is a constable with the Lancashire police. All men will have to appear in court tomorrow.
The interesting part is this: Shabir also holds an Indian passport. Now, we thought that dual nationality was not permitted, so should not the Indian authorities prosecute him for that too?!
