Ashok Sridhar Column
Ashok Sridhar is a PhD associate at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. He is basically from Chennai (Madras), India, where he did his Bachelors in mechanical engineering. After a subsequent stint at Caterpillar Inc., he did his masters in production engineering at RWTH Aachen, Germany, sandwiched by a year-long tenure at DaimlerChrysler AG in Stuttgart, Germany.
He has always been intrigued by history. Starting off as a hobby, the study of history-related things have, off late, occupied most of his spare time, primarily due to an extensive research work on India’s glorious past; in this context, he is in touch with some contemporary historians who are trying to set the skewed picture of Indian history straight.
His experience in penning articles includes being a contributor to the ‘UTNieuws’, the official newspaper of his employer. He is currently developing a weblog in which he intends to present recent findings pertaining to history, Indian or otherwise, and to furnish details of some relevant contemporary projects.
