A charity event marking the 10-year-old association between two sister cities - Kawasaki and Pune - will be held on Jan 30th in Kawasaki city, Japan. Artistes from the respective cities will be performing. Dr. Chandrakant Sardeshmukh (from Pune), a senior disciple of Pt. Ravi Shankar, and Mrs. Annapurnadevi, will play the traditional Indian Sitar. Kenji Sakasegawa, a disciple of Pt. MahapurushMishra, will play the tablas.
Dr Chandrakant has also composed a grand finale featuring Japanese drums and Indian Sitar together.
