Subject: "Lost my passport!"

I lost my passport recently and was planning to go to India in christmas holidays. OK I can cancel my ticket. But what I am worried is about VISA. where i have to go for my F-1 visa again. I got it issued from US counslate New Delhi Please some one help me on this. Also is there any way I can get visa in US itself since it is just Re-issue of Visa.
