Subject: Seek help on obtaining Indian Passport for a child

Dear NRIOL.COM,

I had a daughter in Febuary 2001.

I would like my daughter to have an Indian passport. I have tried to contact Indian Embassy but have been unable to get through.

Surprisingly the Indian Embassy web-site doesn't seem to be very helpful. What are the requirements and the procedure to obtain the passport for my daughter?

My husband as well as myself are Indian citizens. Is there a way we could add my daughter's name to our passports?
