By road from Bangalore, via Mysore, and wild game reserves of Bandipur and Mudumulai and up the Sigur Ghat. A drive of 5 to 6 hours and a distance of 280 km. 2.By train from Chennai to Coimbatore, or Mettupalyam and then a delightful scenic journey up the hill on the hill train, which takes about 5 hours up to Lovedale departing from Mettupalyam at 7.10 a.m. and arriving at Lovedale at 11.45 a.m. 3.By Air to Coimbatore and then a 2 ½ hr. drive up the hill, via Coonoor.
