Drive through the verdant green tea estates, right up into the high ranges of the mountains ; see the Kundah hydel dam, or get a license and go trout fishing to Lakdi , located in the far reaches of the upper Bhavani region. Try boating in the Ooty lake , or Pykara dam. Play golf on the challenging course of Ooty golf course, or the course in Coonoor. Walk through the historical botanical gardens in Ooty, climbing up to the quaint tribal Toda village. Sims park in Coonoor is definitely worth a visit.

Tea estates on Kundah road
The Weather is crisp and cold, in the winter months of Nov. to Feb. A time to enjoy an old fashioned wood-fire in the evenings. The night sky is full of the brightest galaxy of stars you could ever hope to see. The rains set in between end May – July each year. A heavy mist .can settle down obliterating the valley from sight. The summer season, from February to May require only light woolens. At this time of year don’t miss the flower show in Ooty in May.
